Norwalk, CT, May 24th, 2019

Dear Members,

We are excited to announce as of the beginning of the 2019/2020 season Everton America CT will be rebranded and known going forward as

Much of what made Everton America CT a healthy, successful and stable club will remain the same with INTER CONNECTICUT FC. Our management team, senior staff, coaches, the attention to our players, the communication with families, our home at All Saints and the commitment to provide the best coaching and enjoyable experience to the players on our teams will all remain at our current high level. At the same time, we will use this name change to develop our own specific team culture, club philosophy, and style of play.

The relationship with Everton Football Club of the Premier League was beneficial to both parties over the years.  We respect having had the opportunity to be associated with good people and a storied premier league club. We will take what we have learned with EFC and use these experiences to grow INTER CONNECTICUT FC to be an even better club.

InterCTFC.com will provide the story behind the new badge, anticipated questions, official start date of the rebrand and details on tryouts for 2019/20 teams.

All of us at the club will look to continue the past success of EACT with our new club name of INTER CONNECTICUT FC. We can not wait to get started in our new kits in the 2019/2020 season beginning in August.

Thank you

Everton America is pleased to announce the promotions of Leon Othen and Marty Walker. Leon and Marty will take over the daily management of the club operations at all levels with immediate effect.

Leon Othen is the club's longest-serving staff member and has been involved with all the inner workings of the club for the past 8 years. He has also been a distinguished High School and Collegiate coach as well as being a highly regarded Goalkeeper coach in the state. Leon says; “I am proud to be able to help our current players, and new ones, to enjoy the game and progress on their soccer journeys at an even greater level. I’m passionate about the learning process and I’m looking forward to making decisions that will improve player and parent education”.

Marty Walker has served as the High School Boys Director of Coaching since 2015 and has helped develop our players into collegiate level student-athletes. He himself has been a collegiate coach for 8 years at some great institutions and also works with athletes as a Sports Psychologist. "Together with Leon, I am excited to take over the running of our great club. We have already identified key areas of growth and improvement. We are keen to make an immediate impact on several aspects of the club. We also promise to improve our club culture, identity, philosophy, and style of play so that our player pathway rivals any in the country." says Walker.

With tryout season around the corner, both Othen & Walker will continue to be on the field and are keen to stress the importance of continuity that the club has staffing wise. Both will work with the current staff including Director of Coaching, Tom Robinson and Managing Director Jim McElderry, who will continue to be involved with facilities, rentals, and long term club decisions.
